Missing Summer

I long for bright days full of sun splashed pavements and laughter carried on the breeze. I never realise how much I miss the glow of the sun until it's as cold and dark and utterly dead as it is now.

I miss having sticky hands from melted ice cream, walking barefoot in the garden over warm blades of grass, and seeing sunlight reflected off of every surface in sight.

I miss that tight warm feeling skin acquires after too long in the sunlight, the smell of flowers in the heat of the afternoon, and the crackle of excited children playing in the park opposite my house on the first sunny day of the year.

Sunlight associations.....

Just shine for me soon, won't you please???
