A Quick Update On Mark

Unfortunately I've come down with another chest and throat infection and am back on antibiotics so I'm unable to go the hospital to visit Mark, but Kelz has been phoning me each day to keep me updated on his progress.
His operation seems to have been a success, although Mark's not well enough to come off the ventilator just yet. His doctors are hoping that as long as his condition doesn't deteriorate he'll be able to come off the ventilator on Monday instead. In the meantime he's still being sedated so that he doesn't fight the tubes or try to pull at the three IV's in his little arm, and hopefully by being sedated his body can devote as much energy as possible to his healing. The next 72 hours will be crucial, but if he gets through the next three days without any complications the doctors anticipate a full recovery.
I just can't even begin to imagine what must be going through Kelly's mind when she sees her son laying there, but, so far, things are looking good for the little guy.....
