Evolution

I've got a little theory about evolution.

Currently, the one thing that holds us back the most, [from immortality, from travel, from time], is our bodies. They are like new born puppies that you can never leave alone. You must feed them, clean them, keep them out of trouble, keep them from getting ill or injured, refreshed with sleep. When you stop and think about it, it probably takes 75% of our lives to maintain our bodies.

But if our bodies were to somehow become shells - hard, durable, able to withstand anything, then our minds would be free to do anything they pleased whenever, wherever, and for however long they liked. There would only be one way to die.....

..... mind suicide.

Since most deaths are of the bodily persuasion, we would be able to live, as long as our minds were kept busy and sane.

Some people would live very short lives. [Then again, those people would not be a great loss because they could not keep themselves productive enough to prevent them going insane.]

Other people - the more interesting people, would live forever.

And the only restrictions you would have, would be those you put on yourself.
