Home At Last

After 28 days in hospital, Mark, my godson, has finally been allowed to come home.
As I said in an earlier post his operation went well, and although his recovery has taken a little longer than his doctors had hoped he doesn't seem to have any long lasting effects from his time on the ventilator. Of course, he will still need to be monitored by the hospital though so he's already got an appointment to see his consultant in 2 weeks time. Kelly will also still need to keep an oxygen tank at home for Mark in case his breathing deteriorates, and he will still need to take medication short-term, but long-term his prospects look good.
Hopefully the little guy will now be able to have the normal childhood everyone wished for him.
