Good Old Diaryland

You never realise just how many little pockets and sub-communities there are here on diaryland until you wander out past your own letterbox and explore beyond your familiar neighbourhood on a whim.

I suppose out of habit we tend to revolve within our own minor galaxies, only ever touching the same people unless something happens that causes our path to cross anothers. Fresh relationships are formed, and there begins a brand new orb of contact.

We forget there are hundreds, thousands of other minor galaxies just barely grazing our own intricate circle of friends, all spinning in their own way, to their own unique rhythm.

I love the diversity of existence that resides here. Bundles of acquaintances, and closely bonded friendships tied together by some common thread, brought into each others worlds by a place as obscure as an online diary site.

10 years ago, who would have thought that somewhere like diaryland would exist???
